Touring - a shared experience with like-minded people

Escorted touring holidays are growing in popularity and these days they are not about being hoarded around on a bus! There are lots of travel companies out there providing escorted touring holidays and sometimes it is hard to know where to start, don’t worry we can help you every step of the way.

Escorted touring holidays are all about shared experiences

It is the people you are travelling with who will make all the difference to your precious time away. And it is not just about the experiences you will share whilst you are away, your travelling companions will have lots of stories to recount of their travels, as will you, which you can chat about over a drink at the end of another perfect day.

Escorted touring is hassle-free travel

You simply hand over responsibilities along with your bags to your touring company, who will take care of you for the duration of your holiday.

It is also not true that escorted tours are over-regimented, free time for you to do your own thing has always been a key component and increasingly escorted tours are providing their customers with even more free-time flexibility.

So, with everything sorted you can get on with what you are meant to be concentrating on, enjoyment and sight-seeing in the company of an expert guide, explaining to you in detail what you are seeing.

Why Travelsphere?

Travelsphere has been providing escorted tours across the globe for over 50 years, they are passionate about what they do and love to share their passion with you. An escorted tour is a journey of discovery, you will explore new lands, take in a destination’s most iconic sights, its famous traditions, culture and cuisine, and you will also discover its hidden treasures, all with the inside knowledge of your chosen tour guide, who really will bring your destination to life.

Travelsphere is also dedicated to transforming lives through travel. Through their Travelsphere Cares scheme they offer a helping hand to a number of local projects all over the world. From creating sustainable livelihoods to supplying much-needed equipment for schools, it’s their way of giving something back to the places we all love. A donation is made from each tour towards a relevant good cause. And sometimes your chosen tour will include a unique chance to go and meet the people or visit the places that have benefitted from the ongoing projects which your booking will help Travelsphere continue to support. This really does take escorted touring beyond just being a holiday.

Hopefully we have convinced you that escorted touring is worth a go, so let’s now look at two contrasting escorted tours in more detail, an 8-day tour of Italy starting from just £749 per person and a 19-day grand tour of India.

Italy has so much to see, do and experience. You'll start at the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, which took 176 years to construct and began to lean shortly afterwards. In the aptly named Field of Miracles, you'll also be able to admire the Duomo, the Baptistry and the Monumental Cemetery as well as take the compulsory picture of yourself holding up the leaning tower!

Vinci is the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, whose most famous works include 'The Last Supper' and 'Mona Lisa'. The Museum of Leonardo da Vinci is in the town's historic centre and you'll learn about the artist's life on a tour which is hosted by a Local Guide.

Tuscan hilltop villages are a ‘must see’ when visiting Italy and Siena is not to be missed, it’s medieval town centre is one of the most perfectly preserved in Europe. Admire the spectacular fan-shaped Piazza del Campo, which is the setting for the Palio horse race.

A visit to Chianti is obviously all about wine, Greve is the gateway to the famous Chianti wine region. The combination of almost perfect weather and rich soil help to produce this famous wine, considered by many to be one of the finest in the world.
