Cordoba is located right in the middle of Argentina, in the foothills of the Sierras Chicas. The climate is humid subtropical, but the area is kept cool by cold winds originating in Antarctica that blow through, known as the Pampas winds. The four seasons are distinct and bring varied weather. In summer, starting in November and lasting until March, the days get as hot as 99°F (37°C). This season is also the least rainy, and a good time to visit the area. Winters settle in from May until September, chilling down to as low as 39°F (4°C).
