The slopes at Shiga Kogen are fairly evenly distributed among levels, with a fair distribution of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs. There are more than 100 runs serviced by 52 lifts spread out over all resorts, with a maximum elevation of 7,500 feet (2,305m). The ski season in Shiga Kogen lasts from late November to early May, and night skiing is available in some areas of the resort until 9pm in good weather. Although there is plenty for beginners and experts, Shiga Kogen is best suited to intermediate skiers who will enjoy the variety.
